Our Beliefs

We believe and profess:

The Canonical books of the Old and New Testament to be the highest authority for guiding our faith and life.

The three ecumenical creeds namely: The Apostles’ Creed, The Nicene creed and the Athanasian Creed.

The documents of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Book of Concord of 1580 which, as correct expressions of Biblical faith, form the basis of our confessional statements and doctrines:

the unaltered Augsburg Confessions; Martin Luther’s Catechisms, the Smalcald Articles; The Formula of Concord, The unity of God the father, the son and the Holy Spirit.

The miraculous human life of the Son of God, His divine being, His intercession for us and His eternal Kingdom.

The salvation of sinners through faith in Christ Jesus alone.

The work of the Holy Spirit in turning sinners to Christ in sanctifying them.

The immortal soul of human beings and the resurrection from the dead.

That our Lord Jesus Christ will judge the world with eternal blessings for believers and eternal punishment for the wicked.
